Jawan box office collection day 2: Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster grosses Rs 240 crore globally in just two days, ‘wins hearts and breaks records’
Jawan box office collection day 2: Shah Rukh Khan's blockbuster continued its rampage across the globe, and has already passed the Rs 200 crore gross mark worldwide.

After breaking the record for the biggest-ever opening in the history of Hindi cinema, director Atlee’s Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan added another mammoth total to its nett domestic collection on Friday. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Jawan made Rs 53 crore on day two, which is nearly as high as the opening day haul of SRK’s last film, Pathaan.
Pathaan held the record for Hindi cinema’s biggest opening day before Jawan out-performed it by nearly 20% on Thursday. The masala action film made Rs 74 crore across all languages in India on day one, easily outpacing Pathaan’s record of Rs 57 crore. With the estimated Rs 53 crore on Friday, the film’s two-day nett total in India stands at Rs 127 crore. Of this, Sacnilk says, an estimated Rs 47 crore came from the Hindi-language release.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared on X, “#Jawan is PHENOMENAL on Day 2 [working day, after *partial holiday* on Thu]… Biz jumped post 4.30 pm… Evening / night shows on 🔥🔥🔥… Metros, non-metros, mass pockets – the response is EXCEPTIONAL… Sat – Sun will witness BIGGG GAINS… ₹ 235 cr – ₹ 250 cr [*extended* weekend] on the cards… Thu 65.50 cr, Fri 46.23 cr. Total: ₹ 111.73 cr. #Hindi. #India biz. #Boxoffice.”
Jawan is also playing in dubbed Tamil and Telugu versions, and has been engineered as SRK’s first pan-India release. In addition to Atlee, the film also features South Indian stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in prominent roles, as the protagonist’s love interest and nemesis, respectively. The Hindi version of Jawan had an overall 42% occupancy across the country, with night shows once again contributing the most to footfalls (70%).
While Mumbai reported 43% occupancy on day two, the NCR region had 53% occupancy. For the second day in a row, the Hindi version performed the best in Chennai, which reported 66% occupancy. By comparison, the Tamil and Telugu versions of Jawan had 40% and 57% occupancy on day two, respectively.
On Saturday, Red Chillies Entertainment reported that Jawan had grossed Rs 240.47 crore worldwide in just two days. It wrote on social media, “Winning hearts and BreaKING records! ❤️🔥”

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala seconded this view. Box Office India, on the other hand, reported that the film has grossed Rs 230 crore globally, and will finish its opening weekend with around Rs 500 crore worldwide. Meanwhile, Gadar 2 took another hit. The film crossed the Rs 510 crore mark at the domestic box office on Friday, and is still chasing Pathaan’s all-time record of Rs 543 crore, unless Jawan passes it first.
