Jawan box office collection day 12: Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster nears Rs 900 crore gross worldwide
Jawan box office collection: Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role, is doing incredibly well worldwide, having collected over Rs 880 crore so far.
Jawan was released in theatres on September 7. After minting Rs 36.85 crore on Sunday, Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan earned Rs 16 crore on Monday, according to early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk. The 12-day total collection of the Atlee directorial, also starring Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover, Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt, now stands at Rs 493.63 crore in India. The movie had an overall 23.92 per cent Hindi occupancy on Monday.
Jawan has been on a record-breaking spree. SRK seems to be outdoing himself and is even competing with his own film Pathaan, which was released earlier this year in January. The Siddharth Anand directorial was a massive box office hit, making Rs 1,055 crore worldwide and Rs 543.09 crore in India. The film also starred Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in pivotal roles.

Jawan is doing incredibly well worldwide, having grossed over Rs 880 crore so far. It has become the fastest Bollywood movie to reach this milestone. Previously, Pathaan held the record with $130 million in global earnings, making it Shah Rukh Khan’s biggest hit. It became the second-highest-grossing Hindi movie worldwide after Aamir Khan’s Dangal, which earned around $250 million. If Jawan beats Pathaan’s records at the global box office, SRK would be the only Indian actor to have two movies grossing over $100 million in one year.
Atlee recently discussed the possibility of Jawan making it to the Oscars. In an interview with Etimes, Atlee expressed his desire to take Jawan to the Oscars if everything falls into place. The director mentioned that everyone in the film industry aims for recognition at prestigious ceremonies like the Oscars, and he would love for Jawan to have that opportunity.
