Huma Qureshi feels some actors are ‘only talking about process and not acting’: ‘I’m not trying to be catty but…’
Huma Qureshi says she doesn't believe in discussing her acting process and feels that actors should focus on their performances rather than discussing their process.

Huma Qureshi, who was recently seen in ZEE5’s Tarla, has opened up about how she doesn’t believe in discussing her process as an actor and chooses to let her acting do the talking instead. In a recent interview, Huma said that some actors talk too much about the process of getting into their character but it hardly translates into their performances on screen.
“The word process is overused. I feel like all the actors are only talking about process and not acting. Please act. I am sorry, I am going to sound like… Everybody keeps talking about their process, ‘I did this and I did that’, but it should show in the performance,” Huma told Film Companion in an interview.
She added, “I am not trying to be catty or whatever, but I really feel, for me it is – read your script. All the answers are there. If you’ve said yes to a film, to a script, it is simple — who you are, where you come from and where you are going. That is it.”

Huma then praised Ranveer Singh’s acting caliber and said, “I feel like no, I’d rather be someone who doesn’t talk about their process and make people watch it (my performance) and blow them away. I feel, someone like a Ranveer (Singh), I really enjoy his performance. Every single time he does something, he really brings something on the table. I don’t know what his process is, but I know that he is doing something different every single time. So I don’t need to hear his interview, I need to watch his performance and it’s fun, mazaa aayaa.”
Huma will next be seen in Pooja Meri Jaan and the third season of her web series Maharani.
