Hrithik Roshan looks all geared up for action in new still from Fighter, see it here

Hrithik Roshan left the internet excited on Monday as he dropped a still from his actioner Fighter. The film also starring Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor is set to release on January 25, 2024.

Fans are eagerly waiting for Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s actioner Fighter. The Siddharth Anand film will hit cinema halls on January 25 next year. As the team started a countdown, Hrithik took to Instagram to share a still from the film, captioning it with the hashtag ‘7 months to Fighter’.

In the photo, the ‘Greek God of Bollywood’ is dressed in a pilot G-suit with gloves on, looking ready for some action. He holds on to a part of an aircraft as he stands and stares at the skyline, with his back towards the camera. “#Fighter #25Jan2024 #7MonthsToFighter,” Hrithik wrote in the post.

Friends and fans were left excited at this photo drop and showered him with compliments. Zoya Akhtar dropped a heart emoji while cousin Pashmina Roshan replied with a number of fire emojis. Other comments read, “Hottest Pilot On-Screen,” “OMG this is amazing,” “Can’t wait Hrithik,” and “The real Bollywood star is back .”

Earlier this year, Siddharth Anand, after the mega success of Pathaan spoke about helming Fighter with Hrithik and Deepika. In an interview, he shared how it’s his third film with Hrithik after Bang Bang and War. He shared that his characters Rajveer and Kabir in the earlier movies are “two different people and personalities, completely opposite”.

“And Patty, the character he’s playing in Fighter, he’s made it his own. He’s like a chameleon, he just adapts and becomes that character for that one year (when he’s shooting the film). So he can bring a certain genuineness to it that can last over a franchise, it’s not just made up for that moment, he becomes that person. So Patty is really something Hrithik has really worked hard on, different from Kabir and Rajveer. It is really exciting to see him transform like that. It is like a dream for a director to have an actor who just submits himself to that film for so long. He is a joy,” Siddharth said.

Fighter was earlier scheduled to release in September 2023. Before that, the film was slated for January 2023 release, clashing against Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. Both these films are directed by Siddharth Anand and star Deepika. Prior to that announcement, Fighter was scheduled to release in September 2022.

The makers are calling the film India’s “first aerial action drama.” In an earlier statement, the makers said that “the film will be shot across the world and will pay tribute to the valour and sacrifice of the country’s armed forces.”
