‘Hate Story 2’ soars ahead of ‘Pizza’, face stiff completion from ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya’

Director Vikram Bhatt’s ‘Hate Story 2‘ starring TV actors Surveen Chawla and Jay Bhanushali, has passed the weekend test with flying colours and surpassed its contenders, ‘Pizza‘ and ‘Amit Sahni Ki List‘.

However the movie faces tough competion from Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan’s ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya, which is now in its second week.

Surveen and Jay’s erotic thriller film earned a decent Rs 15 crore on the opening weekend.

Meanwhile ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaiya’ scored another weekend high with Rs 13. 88 crore, bringing the grand total to Rs 67.19 crore.

The other releases of the week ‘Pizza’ and ‘Amit Sahni Ki List’ were lagging behind and have minted less than Rs 2 crore each.

‘Pizza’, which is a Hindi remake of the 2012 Tamil film of the same name, stars Akshay Oberoi, Parvathy Omanakuttan, Dipannita Sharma and Arunoday Singh.

‘Amit Sahni Ki List’ is a rom-com starring Vir Das.
