The film, written and directed by Sarvesh Mewara, shows Kangana in the role of an Air Force Pilot. The over two-minute-long track glimpses Kangana’s character of Tejas Gill, as the video features her journey of becoming a pilot– and ends with her flying the jet.
“Jaan Da” is sung by Arijit Singh and Shashwat Sachdev, who has also composed the track with lyrics by Kumaar. The video also features actor Varun Mitra, who seems to play Tejas’ love interest in the action drama.
Kangana had previously shared how she met real-life Air Force officers while she was shooting Tejas. In an Instagram post, Kangana had written, “My herogiri turned in to total fangiri when asli Air Force officers/ soldiers landed in the same hangar as we are shooting our movie Tejas …. They already knew about this upcoming movie and showed eagerness to watch it … this brief meeting was absolutely pleasant and encouraging…. Jai Hind.”
Tejas will be Kangana Ranaut’s first Hindi film of the year. She was recently seen in the Tamil horror comedy Chandramukhi 2. Kangana’s last release was Dhaakad, which bombed at the box office.
Produced By Ronnie Screwvala, Tejas is scheduled to release in cinemas on October 27. It would enjoy a free run at the box office for two weeks, before Salman Khan starrer big release Tiger 3 arrives on Diwali.
