After Archana Puran Singh’s house help Bhagyashree won the internet, it’s Farah Khan’s cook Dilip who’s now stealing the spotlight–thanks to the filmmaker-choreographer’s YouTube vlog. What began as a casual pastime has grown into a full-fledged content sensation, with Dilip and Farah’s witty banter becoming the show’s unexpected highlight. Their camaraderie has not only brought views but also transformed lives. Farah recently shared that the success of the channel has enabled her to shift all of Dilip’s children to English-medium schools. One of them has even pursued a culinary diploma to work in a restaurant or hotel.
As the conversation flows, Farah quizzes Shalin’s cook Chotu about his personal life. When he says he’s married with one child, she looks at Dilip and quips, “Isko kya padi thi teen bachche karne ki? (Why did he have to have three kids)” The laughter continues as Farah shares with Shalin’s mother how Dilip’s dedication has come full circle: “Because our show is working, I could put his kids in English-medium school. And I admitted one to culinary school so she doesn’t have to work in homes—she can work in hotels.” She added warmly, “Dilip has fed so many people… now karma is feeding him.”
In a light moment, Shalin proposes a deal: Dilip can accompany Farah to male celebrities’ houses, but he will take over when it’s a female star. Farah teases him for backing out when she repeats the offer. Dilip then jokes, “I want to accompany her because I need girlfriend.” But quickly corrects himself, “No, Shalin wants. I am married. I don’t need girlfriends!”
Earlier in the vlog, Dilip had shared that he’s been married for over two decades. “Meri toh shaadi ho gayi hai, aur woh bhi mere ghar walon ne karayi thi. 2003 mein shaadi hui thi. (I am married since 2003. My family has arranged it for me.)”
