Esha Deol says parents Hema Malini and Dharmendra’s stardom didn’t impact her childhood: ‘No one made me feel…’
Esha Deol said that she was treated normally during her childhood and added that people did not give her importance because of her star parents.

Actor Esha Deol has opened up about how she had a normal childhood despite her parents, actors Hema Malini and Dharmendra being the biggest stars of their era. According to her, star kids were not given as much attention back then, and no one really cared about their status.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Esha opened up about her childhood and said, “That time was very different, there was not so much importance given to it. We were never given importance. We went to school, we were treated very normally. I played a lot of sports for which we had to travel for state level, district level by train. I got permission to do all that and I loved it and no one really made me feel I am out of this world. No one really cared.”
She added, “I knew my parents are big stars and they have done amazing movies. I used to watch their movies. I used to like watching one movie of theirs everyday. That’s how I knew they were actors.”
The paparazzi culture is currently on the rise, and it has drawn criticism from Bollywood actors who condemn the constant clicking of pictures and reporting about their children. In a recent instance, Aishwarya-Abhishek Bachchan’s daughter Aaradhya Bachchan filed a case against specific YouTube channels for spreading false information about her health. Actor Saif Ali Khan has also voiced his concerns over paparazzi trying to capture his son Taimur Ali Khan near his school and emphasized the importance of providing children with a normal life.
