Eid Al-Adha 2024: Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Mammootty and other celebrities extend Bakrid wishes to fans worldwide

Malayalam megastar Mammootty kept his wish short, as usual, noting, “Eid greetings to everyone.” Malayalam actor and BJP Thrissur MP Suresh Gopi also extended Eid greetings with a special illustration bearing the words, “May this special day bring peace and happiness to your heart.”

Anil Kapoor posted an illustration on social media representing people of all ethnicities celebrating Eid, writing, “Couldn’t have found a more beautiful manifestation of the spirit of Eid, #EidMubarak.”

Eid Al-Adha is the second-most significant festival in the Islamic calendar, following Eid Al-Fitr. The festival is believed to symbolise the ultimate sacrifice by Ibrahim – known as Abraham in the Hebrew texts – to show his love and devotion to Allah/God. The date of Eid al-Adha varies, as it falls on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah in the Islamic calendar.
