Previously, Ed had shared a video of himself, performing Shah Rukh’s signature step with the superstar. Shah Rukh was visibly impressed with Ed, and Farah shared in the comments section of his Instagram post, “If this was the last thing I directed i’ll die happy 😁♥️”

This is Ed Sheeran’s third trip to India. He first visited Mumbai in 2015, followed by another trip in 2017. During his 2017 trip, Farah Khan hosted a party for him, though she later admitted that she had no clue who he was when she said yes to hosting. During her appearance on Bharti Singh’s podcast, Farah recalled with a laugh, “At the party, I was yelling at the DJ ‘Why are you playing funeral music?’ He said ‘Ma’am this is Ed Sheeran’s music’.” She mentioned that Ed had “so much fun” and “didn’t want to hear his own music, he wanted Bollywood music.” “He left at 2 am as he had a concert the next day. He said I can stay here till morning but I have to perform tomorrow. The next day, he sent me 20 front row VIP passes for his show. But I didn’t go,” she said.

Ed is performing in Mumbai on March 16.
