The actor was cremated at the Pawan Hans Crematorium on Monday in the presence of his family and colleagues from the film industry. Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Salim Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Zayed Khan, Rajkumar Santoshi, Anil Sharma, Salman Khan, Siddharth Roy Kapur and several others paid their last respects. Later in the evening, Shah Rukh Khan was also spotted exiting Pawan Hans crematorium after paying his respects.

On Monday morning, an ambulance was seen outside Dharmendra’s Mumbai residence. Shortly after, videos surfaced online showing his daughter Esha Deol and his wife Hema Malini arriving at the crematorium.
Celebs pay tribute
Celebrities on Monday took to social media to mourn the demise of Dharmendra. Karan Johar penned a long Instagram note on the actor, who was last seen in his film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.

A part of his note read: “Today there is a gaping hole in our industry … a space that can never be filled by anyone … there will always be the one and only DHARAMJI… we love you kind Sir…. We will miss you so much…. The heavens are blessed today…. It will always be my blessing to have worked with you…. And my heart says with respect, reverence and love…. Abhi Na jao chodke…. Ke dil abhi bhara nahi.”
Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan also took to her Instagram Stories to celebrate the veteran actor, sharing old photographs of him with her grandfather, Raj Kapoor. She shared three rare pictures, each accompanied by heart emojis. In another slide, she wrote “Forever in power,” and added “Chardi Kala” on a third.

Actress Kiara Advani quietly remembered Dharmendra by sharing a black and white picture of the veteran star on her Instagram handle without any caption.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari spoke to the media and said: “Dharmendra was not just a good actor but also a good and simple human being. I had a personal connection with him. He was committed to the country and the farmers. His work in films cannot be forgotten. The film industry has suffered a huge loss with his passing away. He used to come and meet me. I have good relations with his sons and Hema Malini ji.”
