It is a popularly known fact that wherever King Shah Rukh Khan goes, there’s always a sea of fans around him, curious to get a glimpse of the actor. It can become quite a task for SRK’s security team to control the excited crowd. Yusuf Ibrahim, a famous security consultant, who has been providing protection to many A-listers, including Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan and many others, since the beginning of their careers, recalled such an incident about SRK from years ago.
During an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Yusuf revisited the time when Shah Rukh wanted to visit the Ajmer Sharif Dargah and was mobbed by fans. “During the IPL, Shah Rukh sir wanted to go to Ajmer Sharif dargah. We reached there and the day we selected was wrong, a Friday, and the time was also not right, at 12:30, ekdum peak namaaz ka time. At any given time if you go there on Friday, there will be 10-15K people,” he shared.
He further added, “When we went there, the whole town of Ajmer knew that Shah Rukh was coming to the Dargah. There was so much public, that we were literally standing there, logon ne humko dhakka maarke dargah legaye and dhakka maarke apne aap gaadi mai laake baitha diya (We didn’t walk, people pushed us to the Dargah and then back to the car).”

Yusuf also revealed that SRK is generally calm and composed in such situations. “It was a difficult experience, police had to do lathicharge to disperse them from there. There was so much madness. It was a lifetime experience for me. When such situations happen, he is damn cool about it. Shah Rukh is damn cool when such situations happen, he knows that it’s not anyone’s fault – neither staff nor fans. It’s just the excitement of his fans, so everyone knows this is what happens. The temperament is always cool, nice and easy going,” he said.
When asked about what is the sweetest thing Shah Rukh Khan has ever said to him, the bodyguard expressed, “When he met my mom and dad, Shah Rukh sir said that he is a hardworking kid and cares a lot for me. That meant everything to me what he said. My mom and dad got emotional. Shah Rukh Khan was appreciating their son, it’s not a joke.”
