Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 vs Singham Again advance booking: With less than 48 hours remaining for the ultimate Diwali showdown when director Anees Bazmee’s horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will lock horns with Rohit Shetty’s actioner Singham Again in theatres, sparking fierce competition at the Bollywood box office, tickets for both movies are selling like hotcakes. Despite strong pre-release sales for both films, one already leads by a significant margin, hinting at a potential victor in this “clash of the titans.” What makes the battle even more interesting is that it’s almost like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 actors Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri are taking on the entire Bollywood as the other side is filled with major movie stars. Featuring Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff and Arjun Kapoor, Singham Again is the fifth instalment in Rohit’s Cop Universe and will also have a cameo appearance by Salman Khan.

Now, reports have also emerged stating that the most expensive tickets for both movies are pegged at over Rs 2,000, adding fuel to the box office battle further. As of Wednesday afternoon, the most expensive tickets for both Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again are being sold at Maison PVR: Jio World Drive in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai, and cost Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,700 respectively (base fare), as per the ticket prices on ticketing aggregator BookMyShow. In the National Capital Region (NCR), top-priced tickets for both films are being sold for Rs 2,400 at PVR Director’s Cut in Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi.

Although Singham Again holds the advantage in screen count and show frequency, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has already outpaced it in pre-release earnings. By 4 pm on Wednesday, the horror-comedy had grossed Rs 3.56 crore (excluding block seats) from advance day-one bookings in India, with 1,13,931 tickets sold across 5,731 shows, industry tracker Sacnilk reported. Singham Again, on the other hand, has achieved a pre-release total of Rs 2.54 crore in the domestic market from 72,702 tickets sold across 6,351 shows.

With Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again hitting the theatres on November 1, Friday, coinciding with the Diwali festival, the makers of both movies are hopeful that their box office figures will improve further in the coming hours. The third instalment in the eponymous franchise, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is produced by T-Series Films and Cine1 Studios, while Singham Again is bankrolled jointly by Rohit Shetty Picturez, Reliance Entertainment, Jio Studios and Devgn Films.
