Movies releasing today: ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ and ‘Ab Tak Chhappan 2’

The movie is about Prem Prakash Tiwari (Ayushmann Khurrana), who dreams of getting married to a beautiful, slim girl. But destiny has something else instored for Prem. He unwillingly gets married to Sandhya (Bhumi Pednekar), who is fat unlike the girls Ayushmann had been dreaming of.

Post marrriage, Prem goes on to ignore his wife, and on the other hand Sandhya tries to arouse love in her husband for herself. Amidst all this, a race is organised in the city where the husband has to carry his wife. The poor guy, under the pressure of his family has to participate in that race. Eventually there is love, music and dance that happens later in the film.

Kumar Sanu, who has also sung the song ‘Dard Karara’ will be seen in a cameo in the movie.

As told by Ayushmann, the movie is quirky and different. He said, “‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ is a quirky and different film. I’m playing a simpleton from Uttar Pradesh, lives in Haridwar, Rishikesh…is an uneducated person and a failure in life. He runs an audio cassettes shop and the film is set in 1994.”

Ayushmann Khurrana’s last movie ‘Hawaizaada’ failed at the box office, but with ‘Dum laga Ke Haisha’ we think that he might manage to impress his fans once again.

Second release of the week is a crime drama ‘Ab Tak Chappan 2’ starring Nana Patekar. Ab Tak Chappan 2 has been helmed by Aejaz Gulab has been produced by Raju Chada and Gopal Dalvi. The movie stars Gul Panag and Ashutosh Rana this time along with Nana Patekar.

Third and final release of the week is Adhdhyan Suman’s ‘Luckhnowi Ishq’, in which he will be seen opposite debutante Karishma Kotak, who was also a contestant in ‘Bigg Boss 6’.
