Actor Dipika Chikhlia Topiwala is even now remembered as the face of Sita after her protrayal of the character written in the mythological story. As opinions clash on the recently released film Adipurush, which is based on Ramayan, the actor uploaded a post in which she gets dressed in the same attire, which she wore in the television series during the exile of Ram to the forests. The actor said that she decided to get into the get up once again on public demand.

Adipurush, directed by Om Raut stars a Prabhas as Raghav, Kriti Sanon as Janaki and Sunny Singh as Shesh. The film is getting criticised for its language and CGI, and constant comparisons are being done with Ramanand Sagar’s series.

Dipika uploaded a video with various shots of her dressed as Sita and wrote in the caption, “This post is on public demand … I am grateful for the love I have always received for the role i played … Me … as sitaji …could not have asked for more.”

Actor Sunil Lahri, who played the role of Laxman in Ramanand Sagar’s television series,  reacted to Adipurush makers’ decision to change the dialogues in the film for sake of the audience. In an interview with ABP, the senior actor said that the makers should have thought about audience while writing the dialogues originally.

The statement released by T-Series Films read, “There’s nothing beyond sentiments of audiences and harmony. Team Adipurush in respect of public opinion, revamps dialogues for unifying film experience.”

Reacting to this, Sunil said, “The decision to remove dialogues that may cause harm to sensitive individuals is a good and positive step. It should have been taken by the filmmakers while making the film itself. Now, it doesn’t make much sense to discuss the circumstances and pressures under which these dialogues were written. However, it can be said that this is a welcome move. Manoj Muntashir is a very sensible person, and I have listened to several of his videos and audios. Initially, I couldn’t believe that he would write such dialogues. Whatever the situation and pressure may have been, trying to rectify and compensate for the mistake is a commendable step on their part.”
