In many ways, Aryan Khan is an enigma. Unlike his naturally flamboyant father Shah Rukh Khan, who revels in the limelight, Aryan has preferred staying away from it as much as possible. Of course, there is no chance to completely move away from it, considering he is the son of Bollywood’s Baadshah. Hence, Aryan is facing the limelight on his own terms and is directing a series called Showbiz. He is also one of the founders of D’yavol, the global luxury clothing brand. In a recent interview with L’Officiel Arabia, Aryan opened up about a multitude of things, including the learnings from his illustrious father, and how he is planning to position himself in the fashion and cinema industries.
Delving deeper into how his father has inspired him on so many different levels, Aryan said, “What truly sets him apart from most is his diversification into other fields, whether it is sports, VFX, or film and television production.” Crediting him for giving his all to every facet of his life, Aryan said, “My father would see all his various roles with the same dedication and passion. Giving a hundred per cent to everything you do no matter how big or small, is what my father has imbibed in me. And as an entrepreneur and a fashion innovator, I aspire to be rigorous, meticulous and extremely detailed about everything.”
With such wonderful words being spoken about him in the interview, Shah Rukh Khan, who will be next seen in director Sujoy Ghosh’s King, chipped in with a simple piece of advice that he wishes Aryan would imbibe in his life. “Never stop learning, and always remain humble. Listen to everyone, but don’t be swayed away from your own convictions,” said the Pathaan actor, who signed off with the success mantra that has held him in great stead throughout his career. “Always make products that have a positive impact on people’s lives – be it clothes or films.”
