Anil Kapoor refutes claims he slapped others in intense scene: ‘Some actors exaggerate to get interviews’
On the Kapil Sharma Show, Anil Kapoor called out actors who claimed that he slapped them hard during an intense scene.

Anil Kapoor made an appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show recently to promote his recent web series, The Night Manager. He was accompanied by his co-stars Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sobhita Dhulipala, Ravi Behl, and Tillotama Shome. During the show, the actor rubbished rumours suggesting that he gets so immersed in his character that he ends up slapping his co-stars for real during scenes.
Anil quickly dispelled the speculation. He stated that some actors tend to exaggerate certain aspects to get more attention in interviews. He said, “That is not true, some actors are there who exaggerate certain things and say so that they get a few more interviews.”
Earlier, Maniesh Paul, who starred with Anil Kapoor in Jugjugg Jeeyo, had shared his experience of shooting with the Mr India actor. He had told Times Now, “In the first scene, where he gets irritated with me and he is about to slap me – and we had such a good time.”
On the professional front, Anil Kapoor has received praise for his performance in the web series The Night Manager, a remake of the British television series of the same name. He also has several projects lined up, including the eagerly anticipated Animal, where he stars alongside Ranbir Kapoor. The film, directed by Kabir Singh fame Sandeep Reddy Vanga, was postponed to December 1. It was slated to release on August 11. Additionally, Anil will feature in Siddharth Anand’s Fighter, starring Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan in lead roles.
