Ananya, who recently walked the Lakme Fashion Week ramp with her rumoured boyfriend and actor Aditya Roy Kapur in Mumbai, channels the cerulean monologue delivered by Streep. She is fashion police and expert in the video and is seen schooling Varun on the nuances of fashion and couture. Ananya, here, is seen mocking Varun for not knowing the colour of the boxer shorts he’s wearing and calling it blue, whereas Ananya informs him that he is actually wearing cerulean coloured boxers and how Sabyasachi created a gown collection in this particular shade of blue for Karan Johar’s fiftieth birthday in 2019 and that Masaba Gupta shows a jacket in the same shade, and how the colour then picked up mileage and became popular and became available in malls from where an “underpaid intern” could have picked up the pair of boxers for him, to which Varun said, it was his mom who bought him those.

Fans were quick to notice how Ananya is channeling Meryl’s Miranda Priestly. One fan wrote, “Haha. The devil wears Prada scene,” another commented, “This is devil wears Prada.” One fan also called Varun and Ananya cute and commented, “Cutesttt prime baeee and first time Vde and Anniee together looking so cuteeee 🤭🥹❤️❤️.”

Call Me Bae is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment, which is a Dharma’s digital, and a studio that focuses on delivering distinctive stories across fiction and non-fiction formats for OTTs. Karan also shared this video on his social media platforms and wrote, “Hello to all the baes!😉 There’s a new fashionista in town who is here to stay and def slay all the way!💅.
