Marking the conclusion of events related to the wedding of billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s son Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, the daughter of Encore Healthcare’s CEO Viren Merchant, a final reception was held at Jio World Drive in Mumbai on Monday. Unlike the previous events, this one was exclusively for the Ambani family’s household staff and Reliance employees.

The invitees included staff from Antilia, Sea Wind, Karuna Sindhu, and other Ambani residences, including housekeeping, security, secretarial, operations, and maintenance teams, Economic Times reported. Thousands of employees and their family members attended the ceremony to celebrate the joyous occasion. Meanwhile, Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, who couldn’t take part in the wedding or other related functions as he had tested positive for the Coronavirus, made an appearance at Monday’s event. His wife, author and columnist Twinkle Khanna, accompanied the actor.

Anant and Radhika tied the knot in a grand ceremony at the same venue on Friday. The event was a spectacular affair, attended by numerous entertainment industry luminaries. Among the attendees were socialite Kim Kardashian, Bollywood’s Shah Rukh Khan and Rajinikanth, American singer-songwriter Nick Jonas, Hollywood actor John Cena, and Bollywood icons Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

On Saturday, the Ambani family hosted the ‘Shubh Aashirvaad’ ceremony, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and celebrities such as Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Rajinikanth, Aishwarya Rai, Madhuri Dixit, Alia Bhatt, and Ranbir Kapoor.

Following this, a lavish wedding reception was also organised for the newlyweds. Like the wedding and the ‘Shubh Aashirvaad’ ceremony, the reception, called the ‘Mangal Utsav,’ was also graced by many celebrities.

The Ambanis began the pre-wedding festivities in March by hosting over 1,200 guests for a three-day weekend in Jamnagar, Gujarat. This event too was attended by numerous celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan. Other notable guests included Bill Gates, Hillary Clinton, Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump, Karlie Kloss and Mark Zuckerberg.
