Amitabh Bachchan pays tribute to Rabindranath Tagore
Amitabh Bachchan paid tribute to Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore on his 155th birth anniversary.
“I pay my tribute to him (Rabindranath Tagore) on this day and seek his blessings,” Amitabh Bachchan said.
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan today paid tribute to Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore on his 155th birth anniversary.
At a programme here to launch a jewellery showroom he recalled that he had sung the national athem ‘Jana Gana Mana’ written by Tagore in his ancestral house ‘Thakurbari’.
“I pay my tribute to him on this day and seek his blessings,” said the 73-year-old actor, who was accompanied by actress wife Jaya Bachchan said.
A large crowd gathered outside the showroom as the couple waved from a podium outside the store.
