Amitabh Bachchan buys fourth property in Ayodhya worth Rs 40 crore, adds it to his assets over Rs 1500 crore

Amitabh Bachchan has been investing heavily in Ayodhya in the last year and as per a recent report, the actor has acquired his fourth property in the city. Amitabh acquired a 25,000 square feet plot which cost him Rs 40 crore, as per a report in Hindustan Times. This land is reportedly in the same vicinity as another high end real estate development called ‘Sarayu’ where he had previously made an investment. This comes days after Bachchan invested Rs 10 crore each in a real estate firm owned by Bollywood producer Anand Pandit.

This is Amitabh Bachchan’s fourth investment in Ayodhya. As reported by Mint, he bought a 5,372 square feet plot in the city before the Ram Temple inauguration last year, for which he reportedly paid Rs 4.54 crore. Apart from his Rs 14.5 crore investment in the Sarayu project, he also acquired a 54,000 square feet plot in the city, which was registered under his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s trust. It was reported that the actor plans to build a memorial for his father on the land.

Bachchan has been investing heavily in real estate lately as he bought 10 apartments last year, along with his son Abhishek Bachchan, which were worth Rs 25 crore in total. Actor and Rajya Sabha member Jaya Bachchan revealed the total worth of the couple’s assets last year when she declared her total assets, as is required for the election affidavit. It was declared that the couple’s combined assets are worth Rs 1,578 crore. The couple’s combined movable property was valued at Rs 849.11 crore, with immovable property amounting to Rs 729.77 crore, a number that has most probably changed since then.

As mentioned above, Bachchan has made strong moves in the real estate domain, and the actor has been rather successful in this endeavour. The actor recently sold a duplex in Mumbai’s Andheri area for the amount of Rs 83 crore, which, according to the Times of India, he bought for the price of Rs 31 crore in 2021.
