Fans finally got to see Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor on stage, only they were all the way in Dubai. As the couple attended an event for a real estate company in the UAE, they were in an unusually chatty mood — talking about each other, dancing together and mingling with guests. The inside photos and videos from the event has made its way to the social media.
At the event Alia shared, “Coming to Dubai feels like a homecoming. This visit comes from a very personal space as we have just moved into our new home in Mumbai.” Alia and Ranbir Kapoor moved into their new home in Mumbai’s Pali Hill recently. The couple moved into the six-storey bungalow, named Krishna Raj, with their daughter Raha and Ranbir’s mother, Neetu Kapoor.
Their home is named after Ranbir’s late grandmother Krishna Raj Kapoor where the family resided previously. The grey coloured building with glass balconies is now one of the most iconic addresse in Mumbai alongside Mannat — Shah Rukh’s home — and Jalsa where the Bachchan family lives. On Diwali, Alia and Ranbir had spoken about moving into their new home.
For the night, Alia wore a vintage Bob Mackie dress while her actor-husband Ranbir Kapoor, looked dapper in a suit.

At the event, Ranbir Kapoor was asked why he is off social media and he once again accepted that he secretly runs a private Instagram account, calling it “finsta”, which means a fake, private Instagram account that he uses to simple watch the contents. Rambir added, “There are such amazing people in the world who do such amazing work and I do watch and follow them. But because I am an actor I do not officially want be on Instagram as then I will have a responsibility to really show myself to the world. But I felt that I already have a medium, which is through acting and in movies, and that’s enough to show myself to the worlds.”
Alia went on to add that Ranbir has just two reels, both featuring him playing with his daughter Raha. Ranbir Kapoor accepted that he has been asked about not being on social media for the last ten years, and every time he has a different answer, so that it is not boring.
Ranbir shared that he has zero followers, he doesn’t even let Alia follow him, and he manually shows her the clips instead. Ranbir shared jokingly, “Once Alia follows me, then it’ll be out that I have an Instagram account.”
At the event, Ranbir Kapoor danced to the song “Badtameez Dil” in the movie Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Alia too matched the steps. Alia too danced on her song “What Jhumka?” from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
During the event, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt hosted an interactive session where they engaged playfully with the audience. Kapoor improvised a scenario for the attendees, asking them to react as if “the love of your life is running off to Abu Dhabi” and then demonstrated how to perform the dramatic expressions, slow-motion actions, and dialogue. The interaction was noted for showing a more unguarded and playful side of the usually private actor.
