Before Dear Zindagi, watch Alia Bhatt’s first audition video and you will love her all the more

Alia Bhatt fans, we have found a goldmine, the actor’s first audition video which bagged her Student of The Year role.

You may find it hard to believe that Alia Bhatt is just eight-film old in Bollywood given her stupendous career graph. This young actor made her Bollywood debut in Karan Johar’s Student of The Year (2012) but what helped her clinch that project? As Alia gets busy receiving praise for her performance in the recently released Dear Zindagi, we bring you a throwback video of hers, which has the actor giving audition for her debut role.

The video is that of the Student of the Year’s audition and Karan Johar, for whom Alia is a protege, is seen talking about the spark he saw in this 17-year-old chubby girl. Alia Bhatt has been on a highway to success ever since she starred in Student Of The Year that also featured Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra.

The video features Alia auditioning for her role in Student of The Year. She renders Ayesha’s introductory lines from Dharma Productions’ Wake Up Sid. The video also features her dancing to Sonam Kapoor-starrer I Hate Luv Storys’ song ‘Bahara Bahara’. Ace designer Manish and filmmaker Karan Johar are both full of praise for the young actor in the video.
