Akshay Kumar, who is presently promoting his upcoming film Sky Force, was recently asked about his ‘early to bed early to rise’ lifestyle and how he manages to socialise when he has such strict guidelines for himself. Akshay was specifically asked about the incident when he apparently went to bed at 9:30 pm even though Vivek Oberoi and Riteish Deshmukh were his guests and still having dinner.

In a chat with ABP News, Akshay said that he is a “very good host” and drops people off till their cars when they come over. Contradicting Vivek’s claims, Akshay said, “No, this doesn’t happen. I drop people till their cars. I don’t leave them by themselves.” He then spoke the occasional parties at his house and said, “I am very good host. We usually don’t have parties at home but when we host a party, it’s usually an early dinner. People come over, talk a bit, those who want to drink, they drink and and then I see them off.”

Previously, in a chat with the same publication, Vivek had said that he found Akshay’s discipline to be extremely “commendable” as the actor sticks to his routine, no matter what. “Akshay is so disciplined that one evening, we were having dinner at his place, and as soon as the clock struck 9:30 pm, he went upstairs. We thought he was just going to the washroom, but he never returned. We kept waiting for him until 11 pm, only for his wife, Twinkle Khanna, to come and tell us, ‘You guys should leave now. He’s already gone to sleep!’ That’s how disciplined he is. Hats off to him,” he said.

Vivek had previously praised Akshay and said that he helped him when the industry “boycotted” him. He told Mirchis Plus, “My frustration was I was doing hit films, was getting awards, but why was I not getting work. Why was I getting boycotted like this? He didn’t say I will stand up with you, fight this war against this lobby. He gave a practical, simple solution, which gave me money, good feeling, love and a lot of fun.”
