Celebrities across the Indian film industries took to their social media pages to wish their fans and followers Independence Day. Extending their wishes for the 78th Independence Day of India, celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Allu Arjun, Sunny Deol, Kamal Haasan and Sunny Deol among others wished for the prosperity of the nation.
Akshay Kumar, whose latest film Khel Khel Mein released in cinemas on August 15, took to Instagram and shared a story writing, “Celebrating freedom, pride & progress. May our flag always fly high and our hearts soar with pride. salute to our freedom. Best wishes to all of you on Independence Day. Jai Hind.”
Actor Kamal Haasan, recently seen in the critically panned box office dud Indian 2, tweeted, “Today, as proud sons and daughters of our motherland, let us vow to dream bigger, work harder and achieve the destiny of this great nation. Happy Independence Day to all my fellow countrymen!”
Pushpa star Allu Arjun also extended his wishes on X and shared a picture of the National flag, writing, “Happy Independence Day to each and every Indian in the world. Jai Hind 🇮🇳”
Veteran star Chiranjeevi wrote on X, “Happy Independence Day to All! 🙏 May all of us remember the struggles and sacrifices of our forefathers to gift us this freedom! May their ideals always guide us on the path of righteousness, compassion and excellence! Jai Hind 🇮🇳”
Jr NTR also took to X and wrote, “Wishing everyone a Happy Independence Day. Jai Hind.🇮🇳” Jr NTR is currently awaiting the release of his next pan-India actioner Devara, co-starring Janhvi Kapoor.
On the Indian box office front, it is a packed holiday weekend with films like Stree 2, Khel Khel Mein, Vedaa, Mr Bachchan, Double iSmart, Thangalaan playing in cinemas.
