‘Akshay Kumar, jaldi uthna bhi sikhade’: Shah Rukh Khan’s witty replies to birthday wishes, wants daughter Suhana to drink less black coffee

Shah Rukh Khan replied to a few heartfelt birthday wishes that he received online by fellow celebrities like Shilpa Shetty, Mohanlal, Anupam Kher, Akshay Kumar, Shashi Tharoor, and Kajol among others on his 60th birthday.

Shah Rukh Khan is not just a charmer on screen but in real life too — he knows exactly how to return the love he receives from his admirers. The actor turned 60 on November 2 and received birthday wishes from all corners. On Tuesday night, SRK took some time off to personally reply to many of the wishes that he received from fellow celebrities online. Shah Rukh Khan thanked Shilpa Shetty, Kamal Haasan, Shatrughan Sinha, Mohanlal, Anupam Kher, Akshay Kumar, Shashi Tharoor and Kajol among others.

Shah Rukh Khan first replied to actor Akshay Kumar’s birthday wishes by saying, “Thank u Akki for singing Happy Birthday to me… you’ve taught me the secret to looking good and thinking smart. Ab Khiladi ki taraah jaldi uthna bhi sikhaade. Ha ha.”

SRK next reacted to Shilpa Shetty’s post and wrote, “Thank u Shilpa… Yes Gen A to Z need to learn the art of romance… but they should remember not to go on rooftops like in Baazigar. Love u, big hugs!”

Reacting to a post by Gulshan Grover, SRK wrote, “Thank u to the OG Badman of Bollywood… Aryan told me about the fun you guys had while shooting Ghafoor… love to you and Sanjay.” Gulshan Grover had a cameo appearance in SRK’s son Aryan Khan’s debut series The Bads Of Bollywood, alongside fellow veteran villain actors Shakti Kapoor and Ranjeet. They are featured together in the song called “Ghafoor” in the Netflix series.

SRK then reacted to Riteish Deshmukh’s post calling him ‘beta’. Sha Rukh wrote, “Thank u beta… I love you and @geneliad too. Wishing you both the best with your existing professional endeavours and praying for the happiest personal ones.”

Shah Rukh also reacted to West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee wishes for her ‘brother’ and wrote, “Thank u for your kind words Mamata Di. Wishing you the best. Will visit Kolkata soon….”

Shah Rukh also reacted to cricketer Rinku Singh’s post and wrote, “Thank u Rinku. Lots of love… and shaadi kab hai?”

He also responded to daughter Suhana Khan’s post who had shared a photo of two white mugs on his birthday. One of them had King written on it, while the other said, King’s Princess. SRK commented, “Love u baby… but lesser black coffee please. You’re still little.”

Reacting to Anupam Kher’s video message on his 60th birthday, SRK wrote, “Thank u @AnupamPKher for the heartfelt video. Big hugs and lots of love to you always. Some of the fondest memories in my journey of films are with you. I hold you in the highest regard. Love u. (And yes we must find ways to spend more time… maybe a film would be nice).”

Shah Rukh also responded to a long post by politician Shashi Tharoor as he wrote that he finds this “60” number deeply suspicious and added, “I predict by the time he hits his “70th” birthday, he’ll be auditioning for teenage roles. Mercifully, I don’t expect to be around when he turns into a child star.”

SRK joked and replied, “Thank u… Although I’m sure you will be around to see me playing the “child star”… and I will copy your hairstyle then. Ha ha..”

Shah Rukh also responded to his BFF Juhi Chawala’s post who promised ‘a 1,000 trees’ on her friend SRK’s birthday, and wrote, “Thank u Juhi… thoughtful as always. Tell me the next good cause on the agenda that you will follow and I will follow it too. Lots of love…”

On the work front, Shah Rukh will be next in King and the title teaser was shared on the actor’s birthday. The film King is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures and is directed by Siddharth Anand. The film is expected to release in 2026 and it also stars Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Abhay Verma, among others.
