Last evening was a proud night for Akshay Kumar as his wife and former actor Twinkle Khanna launched her fourth book, titled ‘Welcome to Paradise’. While the actor was seen by his wife’s side at the launch event that took place last evening in Mumbai, he also took to social media to share his happiness. Twinkle also wrote about Akshay’s support on social media.
Twinkle Khanna has previously authored books like ‘Mrs Funnybones,’ ‘Pyjamas are Forgiving,’ and ‘The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad’. The book launch was attended by her mother, actor Dimple Kapadia as well. Celebrities like Karan Johar, Jackie Shroff, Kiara Advani, Vidya Balan, Sonali Bendre, Tahira Kashyap, and others were also seen at the event.
At the event, Akshay Kumar was seen sharing a hearty moment with his mom-in-law Dimple Kapadia as they met each other with a hug. The doting husband was also seen asking Twinkle to sign his book.

Akshay shared a photo of Twinkle with her new book and wrote, “Proud, prouder, proudest ♥️ That’s how you always make me feel, whether it’s to take up writing, going back to the university in your 40’s or just defying age and norms every chance you get. And today as you launch your new book, #WelcomeToParadise I just know it will add inches to my already big chest 😉 Congratulations Tina 😘 @twinklerkhanna.” In reply to Akshay’s post, Twinkle wrote in the comments section, “You are the best ❤️.”

During the event, Twinkle also had an interaction with Karan Johar. Talking about her love for writing, Mrs Funnybones shared, “I wake up early, have a lot of coffee and write. I can write till 11 am. After that I can’t write!”
Twinkle also talked about her husband, “I couldn’t have done this without his support. He always stops me from falling off the cliff.”
Twinkle also thanked Karan for developing her sense of humour and said, “I admire Karan. He is my guru. To have this kind of wit you have to hang out with him. He is funnier than I am. He is spontaneous and I copy everything he does.”
