Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar’s public feud over their upcoming film Hera Pheri 3 initially led to the veteran actor’s exit from the project. However, the dispute was later resolved, and Rawal returned to the popular franchise. In a recent interview, filmmaker Priyadarshan, who directed the first two installments and is now working on the third part, opened up about the fallout between the Hera Pheri actors

During a conversation with Pinkvilla, Priyadarshan revealed that he and Akshay Kumar didn’t have any problems with Paresh Rawal. “Me and Paresh never had an issue. Even to the best of my knowledge, Akshay and Paresh never had any issues. There are some other forces, bad forces, who was pressurizing Paresh and Paresh is a guy…it’s like you know people who are afraid that I’m sick and hyper about it, he has another problem. So, he is afraid, but at the same time, our relationship has never been affected,” he shared.

In fact, the filmmaker emphasized on certain ‘bad forces’ affecting the trio’s equation. “Akshay told me that, ‘Prince sir, if it happens, let it happen. Otherwise, let’s forget it.’ That’s all. If it happens in a very good way. There are other bad forces which created a lot of issue. It is not worth talking about them, so I am not talking. Let’s hope for the best all through our life. It is filmmaking, you have enemies, friends, fans, critics, so many things in this world. How I survived 40 years, I still don’t know,” he said.

Priyadarshan also stated that he would make the third installment of the cult comedy franchise Hera Pheri only if he is personally satisfied with the script. “I am not telling that I am doing Hera Pheri 3, unless and until I crack a film which can do justice first. If I’m doing the third part, I’ll make sure that it’s tolerable for the people who watched the first part. Unless and until I crack the full film, I’ll never attempt part 3. If a good script doesn’t turn out to my conviction, I’ll not do the film.”

Meanwhile, Paresh Rawal confirmed earlier that Hera Pheri 3 is a work in progress and they will shooting for the film in March next year. Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Rawal will be reprising their roles as Raju, Shyam, and Baburao, respectively.
