Adipurush box office collection day 6: Prabhas-starrer struggles amid controversy, Hindi collections fall to just Rs 4 crore on Wednesday
Adipurush box office collection Day 6: After a strong opening weekend, Prabhas' mythological epic has shown declining revenues during the weekdays.

Director Om Raut’s Adipurush, starring Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon, had a historic opening weekend at the domestic box office, but the weekday collections have been declining rapidly. After earning Rs 10 crore across all languages on Tuesday, the film could only collect Rs 7.5 crore nett across all languages domestically on Wednesday, as per industry tracker Sacnilk.
Out of the Rs 7.5 crore that the film made on its sixth day in theatres, the Hindi version earned Rs 4 crore. This takes the film’s total nett collections across India to Rs 255.3 crore. As per trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, the film’s nett worldwide collection after six days stands at Rs 359.66 crore, with the sixth day bringing in Rs 14.27 crore.
Adipurush’s collections might witness an uptick on Thursday and Friday, as the producers have slashed the ticket prices to Rs 150 for the 3D version, with extra charges for the 3D glasses. T-Series, the film’s producer claimed that after five days in the theatres, Adipurush collected Rs 395 crore gross worldwide.

Adipurush landed in controversy soon after its release as many objected to the dialogues in the film, written by Manoj Muntashir. However, three days after the release he shared a statement saying that the dialogues would be revised, and as per reports, the revised version started screening in movie theatres on Wednesday.
Adipurush had a strong start at the box office, with T-Series claiming that it earned Rs 140 crore worldwide on the opening day. The first weekend brought in Rs 340 crore worldwide, but the film witnessed a sharp fall on its first Monday, and has not been able to recover since. With the ticket prices being slashed, there is a chance that the film’s collections might improve in the next couple of days. This strategy previously worked with Brahmastra and Chup: Revenge of the Artist, and Pathaan.
With no big releases this weekend at the theatres, combined with the change in dialogues and slashed ticket prices, Adipurush could cross the Rs 500 mark after its second weekend.
