XLRI college in Jamshedpur
Xavier School of Management has earned accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) for its flagship management and doctoral programmes.
As per a release sent by XLRI, this is the second coveted international accreditation for XLRI after the one by Association of MBAs (AMBA), which the institution received in 2015. XLRI has joined a select group of global business schools which have received AACSB accreditation for their doctoral programmes.
Founded in 1916, AACSB International is the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master’s and doctoral degrees in business and accounting.
“It takes a great deal of self-evaluation and determination to earn the AACSB Accreditation and I commend XLRI Jamshedpur for its dedication to management education, as well as its leadership in the community,” said Robert D. Reid, Executive Vice President and Chief Accreditation Officer of AACSB International.
XLRI Director Father E Abraham said, “The AACSB accreditation is an important milestone for XLRI, India’s oldest management school founded in 1949.”
As per the ‘India Ranking Report 2016’ which was released by the Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry, XLRI ranks 13 among the top 100 managment colleges while Indian Institute of Management Bangalore is at the top.
Xavier School of Management has scored 75.30 marks in the rank list.
The institute has recently concluded its annual inter-B-school three day flagship sports and cultural festival “Valhalla 2016” on July 31, 2016. The festival featured sports, cultural and outdoor events at the XLRI campus.
