11 devotees died after a tractor-trolley carrying Durga idols for immersion on Vijayadashmi plunged into a lake in Madhya Pradesh. The incident occurred in the Pandhana area, where nearly 20-25 people were travelling for immersion rituals. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed grief and announced compensation for the deceased and injured.
