UP Board 10th Result 2023 Updates: Overall pass percentage stands at 89.78%

Out of 25,70,987 students who appeared for the exam, 13,18,210 were boys and 12,52,777 were girls

A total of 31,06,157 students registered for the exam, out of which 28,63,621 appeared for the exam. The overall pass percentage of regular students was 89.85 per cent and for students who appeared privately was 66.47 per cent

This year's UP Board Class 12 pass percentage of 75.52% is lower than the overall pass percentage of 2022 when 85.33 per cent students had passed the exam.

In class 10, the number of registered students was 31.16 lakh out of which 28.63 lakh students appeared for the class 10 examination. As compared to last year’s results, the passing percentage for class 10 has gone up from 88.18 per cent to 89.78 per cent,

Girls continue to perform better yet again in UP board class 10 result. Girls recorded a pass percentage of 93.34 per cent while boys secured 86.64 passing percentage.

Sitapur's Priyanshi Soni topped the Class 10 UP board exams. The topper score 590 marks out of 600

The press conference to announce the UP class 10 result will begin at 1:30 pm. The students can check the results through the websites- upmsp.edu.in, upresults.nic.in

Along with the UP Board Class 10 result, the UPMSP will also announce the name of toppers along with their school name and district. Once release, the individual students' results will be upload on the official websites - upmsp.edu.in

The candidates need to get a minimum of 35 per cent marks to pass in the examination. The board will conduct the compartmental examinations if a student fails in one subject or two.

As many as 31,16,487 Class 10 students will get their UP Board high school result today. UPMSP class 10 exams were held from February 16 till March 3 and the exams were conducted from 8 am to 11:15 am. Fifteen minutes were also given to the candidates to read the question paper.

Dibyakant Shukla, Secretary, Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UP Board) posted the notice on Twitter. The parents and students might receive calls from fraudsters demanding money in the name of increasing marks in board exams. He asserted that these calls are “hoaxes” and the board never makes any such demands.

Step 3: Enter your details like name and roll number.

Step 4: The result will be displayed on the screen.

As per reports, as many as 2,08,953 class 10 students missed the UP Board Class 10 exams this year. Overall 4.31 lakh students did not appear in UP board exams

In 2022, UP class 10 exams were held from March 24 till April 12 and the overall pass percentage was 88.18 per cent. The pass percentage for boys was 85.25 per cent and the girls were at 91.69 per cent. A total of 27,81,654 students appeared for class exams in 2022.

As the UP Board results are set to be declared today, people on social media are requesting parents to not pressurize or get angry with their child in case his/her result is not upto the expectation

Students will be able to get mark sheets after 10 days of the declaration of results. The mark sheets will be sent to regional offices then district heads and the disseminated to schools who will further ensure they reach students

However, the websites might not function due to a staggering number of students checking their results at the same time. For that one needs to fill the box below and after completing the registration, candidates will recieve their respective results or any updates regarding the same on their mobile as well as email.

Candidates who fail in more than two subjects will be considered fail in UP Board 10th exams. Rest have the option to sit for the compartment exam.  These students who might get low marks in the UP Board inter exam can apply for the supplementary exam after the declaration of the results.

This year, the state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered the board to appoint Static Magistrates and Sector Magistrates who were asked to report daily proceedings to the District Inspector of Schools along with the District Magistrate. Additionally, a separate room was also made apart from the Principal’s room for strict monitoring of the exam papers.

The UP Board exams for Classes 1 to 8 were conducted between March 20 and 24 and the result was declared on March 31. Students of all council schools and recognised schools run under the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council were promoted and given admission to the next class as per the rules. This order is in accordance with the same RTE Act.

To pass the UP board 10th board exams, students have to score at least 33 per cent marks in each subject. those who fail to score the minimum required marks in exams will be declared fail in UP board 10th results 2023. Such students will then have to appear in the supplementary exams, the dates of which will be released after the announcement of UP board 10th result 2023.

Over the last five years, female students have continued to lead in the UP Board Class 10 exams showcasing a better performance every year. 

-- In 2022, the passing percentage for boys was 85.25 per cent while girls crossed the 90 per cent mark with 91.69 per cent of girls passing the matric exam.

-- In 2021, pass percentage of boys and girls was  99.52 per cent and 99.55 per cent, respectively. 

-- In 2020, a total of 12,81,842 girls registered for the High School exam of which 11,18,914 passed taking their passing percentage to 87.29 per cent. Similarly, 14,90,814 boys registered of which 11,90,888 passed. 

-- In 2019. with a rise of 5.17 per cent in pass percentage female candidates secured a pass percentage of 83.98 per cent and male candidates recorded 76.66 pass percentage.

-- In 2018, 78.81 per cent of girls passed the exam whereas boys scored a pass percentage of 72.27 per cent.
