(Representative image/ Express photo)UGC NET June 2024 Application: The University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar Wednesday announced that the UGC National Eligibility Test (UGC NET 2024) registration for June session is expected to begin next week.
Once released, candidates will be able to apply at the official UGC NET website — ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

Step 2: Click on the registration link on the homepage
Step 3: Fill the application form and pay application fee
Step 4: Click on submit to complete the application process
Step 5: Download the completed application form for future reference.
The NET is conducted twice a year, in June and December. Currently, the NET scores are used (a) to award Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and (b) as eligibility for appointment as Assistant Professor for those with a Master’s degree.
Last year, as many as 9,45,918 candidates registered and 6,95,928 appeared for the UGC NET December 2023 exam from 292 cities across the country, which were held between December 6 and December 14. In the December 2023 exams, the result was earlier scheduled to be declared on January 10, but was postponed to January 17 for unknown reasons. It was then postponed further due to technical issues.
