Candidates who wish to apply for the post of Assistant Professor, Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), or PhD admissions can now fill the application form on the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
According to the official notice, the UGC NET December 2025 exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode for 85 subjects across multiple centres in India.
The NTA will announce the exam city details, admit card release date, and the exact schedule of the test later on its website. Here’s an overview of the important dates-

The application fee for UGC NET December 2025 is Rs 1,150 for candidates belonging to the General (Unreserved) category. Candidates from the General-EWS and OBC-NCL categories are required to pay Rs 600, while SC, ST, PwD, and Third Gender candidates need to pay Rs 325. The payment can be made through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI mode.
Step 1: Visit the official NTA UGC NET website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on the “UGC NET December 2025 Registration” link on the homepage.
Step 3: Complete the registration process by entering basic details and creating a password.
Step 4: Fill in the application form with academic and personal details.
Step 5: Upload the required documents, including a scanned photograph and signature.
Step 6: Pay the examination fee through the available online payment modes.
Step 7: Download and print the confirmation page for future reference.
Candidates should note that only one application form must be submitted per candidate. Applications submitted through any other mode apart from the official portal will not be accepted.
