Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh) school closure

All schools in Ghaziabad district will remain shut on September 3, 2025, following orders from the District Magistrate due to persistent heavy rainfall. The closure applies to Nursery to Class 12 across council schools, government and aided institutions, CBSE and ICSE-affiliated schools, as well as Madarsa Board institutions. Gautam Buddh Nagar (Uttar Pradesh) schools shut

The District Magistrate of Gautam Buddh Nagar has declared a holiday for all schools on September 3, 2025, citing student safety amid heavy rainfall. The order covers Nursery to Class 12 in all schools across the district, including council schools, government institutions, aided schools, CBSE and ICSE-affiliated institutions, as well as Madarsa Board schools. Authorities have directed strict compliance with the instructions.

Jammu & Kashmir schools shut

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has postponed the Class 10 and 11 exams scheduled for September 3, 2025. The Board announced that new dates will be notified later. While the notification did not cite a specific reason, ongoing adverse weather conditions in the region are seen as the likely cause.

“All the exams of Class 10th and 11th scheduled for September 3, 2025, stand postponed. Fresh dates will be notified separately,” JKBOSE announced on its official handle on X.

Gurugram

Not only Jammu and Kashmir, but all schools across Ghaziabad will remain closed on September 3, 2025, following a directive from the District Magistrate in response to ongoing heavy rainfall. Kerala

Schools across Kerala are currently closed for the 10-day Onam break, with regular classes set to resume on September 8.
