Delhi woke up to another hazy Monday, with the air quality remaining in the ‘severe’ category. The Air Quality Early Warning System (EWS) recorded the city’s AQI at 361, while private air quality monitor AQI.in pegged it at 422. GRAP Stage III continues
With pollution levels still very high, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has continued Stage III of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) across Delhi-NCR. This stage includes curbs on construction work, brick kilns, stone crushers, and other high-emission activities.

AQI in Delhi-NCR
As per the AQI.in Civil Lines, Mukherjee Nagar and Mayur Vihar-I have reported high levels of AQI levels, followed by Mandir Marg and Safdarjung Enclave.

GRAP is a set of emergency measures that kick in to prevent further deterioration of air quality once it reaches a certain threshold. Stage 1 of GRAP is activated when the AQI is in the ‘poor’ category (201 to 300). The second, third and fourth stages are activated three days ahead of the AQI reaching the ‘very poor’ category (301 to 400), ‘severe’ category (401 to 450) and ‘severe +’ category (above 450) respectively.
