PSEB 5th Result 2024 Declared: 587 students score 100%, Pathankot performs best

Punjab Board 5th Class Result 2024 Declared: The Punjab School Examination Board (PSEB) on April 1 declared the Class 5 result. The direct link to access and download the PSEB Class 5 result is available at the Punjab board official website – pseb.ac.in. A total of 3,05,937 students pass the exam. The overall pass percentage this year is 99.84 per cent. 

A total of 1,44,653 girl students appeared in the PSEB class 5th exams. Of these, 1,44,454 successfully passed with a pass percentage of 99.86 per cent. As many as 1,61,767 boys appeared in the exam and 1,61,468 successfully passed the exam, making the pass percentage 99.81 per cent.

Pathankot district recorded the highest pass percentage with 99.96 per cent pass students while Mohali recorded the lowest at 99.65 per cent. As many as 587 students secured 100 per cent marks in PSEB Class 5 exam.

The board will later send the PSEB Class 5 marksheets to the respective schools and the students can collect their hard copies of the result scorecards from their schools.

Class 5 exams PSEB board were conducted between March 7 and 14 over five days. The exams were held in the morning shift between 10 am and 1:15 pm. The PSEB Class 5 exams were conducted in self-examination centers only. Class 5 PSEB board question papers and booklets of differently abled candidates were not sent by the office. Examination of candidates with exceptional ability was not conducted at the school-level.

Last year, the overall pass percentage in Punjab Board class 5 was 99.69 per cent. The pass percentage last year saw an increase from 99.62 per cent in 2022. In 2023, the girls outperformed boys as girls score 99.74 per cent and boys scored an overall pass percentage of 99.65 per cent. Transgender students recorded 100 per cent pass percentage. Last year, Barnala and Tarn Taran districts had the highest number of students who passed the Class 5 exams last year. Jaspreet Kaur, Navdeep Kaur and Gurnoor Singh Dhaliwal had topped the Punjab Board Class 5 exams last time.
