PSEB 12th Result 2019 LIVE: Speaking to The Indian Express, Saravjot whose father Heera Singh is a supervisor in a factory and mother Manjeet Kaur a school principal, said that he never kept any tuition and only depended on self-studies and extra classes in his school.
"Studies at school were enough. I never felt any need to keep tuition and burden my parents financially who already did a lot for me. Accountancy is my favorite subject. I never found it difficult but interesting," he said.Apart from studies, he likes reading books and playing cricket.
He also said that he would like to congratulate other state toppers, all other five being girls. "I congratulate them. I think boys and girls work equally hard. But it is wrong to say that boys don't study or work hard," he said.

The Punjab Board has released the result today morning at Mohali office. Of the total 2.69 lakh students, 25,799 got compartment, while 10,769 candidates failed. A total of 2,32,639 students passed the exam held in March this year.
The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has declared the result for the Punjab Board class 12 exam. The result is now available at the website pseb.ac.in or the partner website, indiaresult.com.
To clear the exam, candidates need to secure at least 33 per cent marks in all subjects as well as aggregate. Since 2018, the board has stopped giving grace marks to students in order to increase the overall pass percentage.
Over 8 lakh students had appeared for the Punjab board exams (class 10 and class 12) this year, out of which nearly 2.7 lakh appeared for Class 12 examinations. Among those who appeared, 2,32,639 students successfully passed the class 12 examinations.
The pass percentage is recorded at 86.41 per cent as Ludhiana resident Sarvjot Singh, Muktsar sahib’s Aman and Muskaan Kaur from Nakodar in Jalandhar jointly secured the first place with 98.89 per cent scoring 445/450 in the Punjab Board class 12 exams. As witnessed in the Punjab Board Class 10 results, girls continue to outshine boys in the Class 12 examination results, as well. The pass percentage of the girls was recorded at 90.86 per cent, whereas boys secured a pass percentage of 82.83 per cent.

Candidates can download their marksheet from the official website and take a printout for admission purposes which acts like a provisional mark sheet. Students will receive their original and detailed marksheet from the respective schools in a few weeks.
The state recorded a pass percentage of 86.41 per cent, a 20 per cent jump from 2018’s 59.47 per cent. Three students shared the first rank with 98.89 per cent with a score of 445/450.
