PM Internship Scheme 2025 Registration Ends Next Week: The deadline for the second phase of the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) is extended from March 12 to March 31, 2025.  The Ministry of Corporate Affairs launched this initiative and it aims to provide 12-month internships to Indian youth, “offering valuable work experience and skill development opportunities.”

In the round 1 of the PMIS, which was initiated on October 3, 2024, over 6 lakh applications were received, reports suggest.

As per the Ministry, each intern will get monthly financial assistance of Rs 5,000, supplemented by one-time financial assistance of Rs 6,000. A one-time grant of Rs 6,000 will be provided to each intern upon joining.

Eligibility Criteria:

— Age between 21 and 24 years as of the application deadline.
— The candidate should have completed at least secondary education (Class 10 pass), higher secondary education (Class 12 pass), or have earned a diploma/degree such as BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, B.Pharma, etc.

The candidate should note that they should not be engaged in full-time employment or full-time education (candidates in online or distance learning programs are eligible).

Insurance Coverage: Interns will be covered under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, with premiums paid by the government.

Participating Companies: Interns will have the opportunity to work with leading companies across various sectors, including Reliance Industries Limited, Tata Consultancy Services Limited, The Times Group, ITC Limited, and Hindustan Unilever Limited.

— Click on the “Register” link and provide the required personal and educational details.
— Create a profile highlighting your academic background, skills, and areas of interest.
— Browse available internship opportunities and apply for up to five positions based on your preferences, such as location, sector, and role.

Upon successful completion of the internship, participants will receive a certificate from the host company, enhancing their employability and professional network.
