The Ministry of Education has begun the online registration process for Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) 2026, the annual interactive programme in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi engages with students, teachers and parents ahead of the board and competitive exam season.

According to data available on the official PPC 2026 portal, the total participants include 36,25,728 individuals, consisting of 33,24,619 students, 2,64,288 teachers, and 36,821 parents, as of Monday evening.

Each year, lakhs of students submit questions and creative entries, while only a limited number are shortlisted for direct interaction during the main event. This competitive nature often leads to the common question: can students actually meet the Prime Minister through PPC?

Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 Date: When will it be held?

Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 is expected to be held in January 2026 as the ninth edition of the interaction, with the Prime Minister addressing students, teachers, and parents in a live session to discuss exam stress and preparation strategies.

While participants should note that it is not an open meet-and-greet, a select group of shortlisted students do get the opportunity to interact with PM Modi in person during the programme.

Students who meet the Prime Minister through Pariksha Pe Charcha are those shortlisted by the Ministry of Education based on their submissions. Selection is typically done from questions sent by students, and in some years through additional activities such as short write-ups, creative responses or thematic challenges, quizzes hosted on platforms like MyGov-Innovate, or others as notified by the MoE.

Last year, the final interaction took place in a formal setting at Sunder Nursery, where selected students posed their questions directly to the Prime Minister. In the previous years, the programme was broadcasted live across television and digital platforms.
