UP Board exams, State Minister of Secondary Education, Gulab Devi (ANI)Due to the ongoing Maha Kumbh which is witnessing footfall in crores as the last day of the Hindu mega festival approaches, the UP government has decided to postpone the board exams in Prayagraj set to be held on February 24. As many as 54,37,233 students will be appearing in the Class 10 and 12 Uttar Pradesh Board examinations beginning February 24.
Of them, over 27.32 lakh students will be appearing in the Class 10 board examination, while the rest (over 27.05 lakh) will be appearing in the Class 12th board examination. A total of 8,140 examination centres have been set up for the board examinations. A state-level control room has been set up to monitor the exams using 54 computers.

The UP board 2025 exams were set to start on February 24. As per the datasheet, the Class 10, 12 UP Board exams will get over on March 12. The exams will be held in two shifts, the first from 8.30 am to 11:45 am, the second between 2 pm and 5.15 pm.
On the postponement of UP Board exams, State Minister of Secondary Education, Gulab Devi told ANI, “57 crore people have taken holy dip in Maha Kumbh. To avoid the affect on Maha Kumbh as well as the students, the exams scheduled for 24th February have been postponed only in Prayagraj… the dates will be announced later… Special penalties will be levied on those who indulge in cheating. Under IPC, if any person assigned to conduct the examination does not perform his/her duty, then provision has been made for a maximum imprisonment of seven years and a fine… Additionally, if a person tries to pressurise or threaten someone who has the responsibility to conduct examinations, he will be liable to 10 years of imprisonment and a fine worth Rs 10 Lakhs…”
