BPSC 70th CCE Prelims Re-exam: The Bihar Public Service Commission re-examined on January 4 with 5943 candidates appearing for the CCE Prelims 2024. This sharply contrasts candidates for whom the Commission issued the admit cards.
In a press release shared by the Commission after the successful conduct of the prelims, 12012 candidates were issued hall tickets for the exam, but just over 5000 candidates appeared for the exam.
Additionally from the total candidates who appeared in the Bapu Examination Complex Centre on January 13 when the alleged paper leak happened, only 8111 downloaded the revised admit cards.
Following the examination, Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor has been on a fast unto death to press the demand for cancellation of a Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examination. As a part of his protest at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, Kishor was arrested early Monday, police said.
Not only Kishor, but various students have been protesting at the Gandhi Maidan for more than two weeks now to cancel the BPSC prelims examination.
Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) conducted its PCS examination on December 22 in two shifts. A total of 5,76,154 candidates had applied for the examination, of which only 2,41,212 candidates (about 42 per cent) appeared in the exam.
