NEET UG official website changed to neet.ntaonline.in. (file image)The National Testing Agency (NTA) started the application process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) on February 9. Along with the NEET UG application form, the NTA has also released this year’s NEET UG information bulletin, syllabus and exam pattern.
Several changes are also made to the NEET UG 2024 exam. The NEET UG application form which was earlier hosted on the neet.nta.nic.in, is now available at a new website – neet.ntaonline.in.
Applicants desiring to get into a medical college for admission to undergraduate medical courses will have to go through the changes introduced this year before filling out the application form.
The NEET UG official website is now neet.ntaonline.in. The NEET UG official website has uploaded the information brochure, syllabus, answers to frequently asked questions and other details on eligibility, application process and exam pattern.
The total number of exam cities for NEET UG 2024 have been increased to 554 instead of previous year’s 499 cities in India. The candidate should select any four cities of their choice for examination of NEET UG 2024. This time, the NEET UG 2024 will not be conducted outside India, as per the decision of the National Medical Commission, a senior NTA official confirmed to indianexpress.com.

The National Medical Commission (NMC) will also allow the Class 12 students who have pursued physics, chemistry, biology or biotechnology along with English even as an additional subject to appear in the NEET UG examination.
The pattern for the NEET UG 2024 examination for admission in the Session 2024-25 is as follows:

NEET UG 2024 question comprises four subjects — physics, chemistry, botany and zoology. NMC has earlier in 2023 made minor changes to the NEET syllabus for the 2024 exams. The change in the NEET UG syllabus has been made to accommodate the changes in the NCERT syllabus post-Covid.
