The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has released the date sheets of the Secondary (Class 10) and Senior Secondary (Class 12) exams for the April and May 2025 session. The date sheets have been released for the Indian and overseas students. For the Indian and overseas exam centres, the NIOS Class 10 and 12 exams will be held from April 9.
The NIOS Senior Secondary exams will begin with Bharatiya Darshan on the first day for the Indian learners and end with Psychology, Sanskrit Vyakaran papers on the last date – May 19.
The NIOS Secondary, or Class 10, exams will start with the Entrepreneurship paper and conclude with Carnatic Sangeet, Employability Skills, Sanskrit Sahitya on May 19.
Almost all the papers of Class 10 and Class 12 NIOS Public Exams (Theory) will be held for a duration of three hours from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm, for the Indian students and between 3 pm and 6 pm for the overseas students. To avoid last-minute rush, students are asked to report to the NIOS April-May 2025 exam center at least 30 minutes prior to the gate closing time. Also, students will have to bring their NIOS 2025 April-May admit card and school ID card to the exam center, as these documents are mandatory for entry.
While releasing the NIOS April-May 2025 exam dates, the open school also said that there will be no change in the date of the examination.
The admit cards will be made available at the NIOS website – sdmis.nios.ac.in. The results will likely be declared in seven weeks after the last date of the exam.
Also, NIOS-registered students are eligible for the NEET UG exam for admission to UG medical courses.
“The students are permitted to study an additional subject from NIOS with the condition that the study needs to be carried out from any authorized institutions,” read an RTI clarification from the National Medical Commission (NMC).
The notice after NTA released the NEET UG 2025 information bulletin on the national level medical examination. “It has come to the notice that confusion has been created stating that the National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued NEET-UG Bulletin 2025, which is not as per NMC Regulations,” read the notification.
