NEET UG 2025 Paper Analysis, Question Paper Answer Key Live Updates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on May 4 conducted the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) from 2 pm to 5 pm. The physics section was reported to be the toughest of all three. The chemistry and biology section was found to be lengthy, by medical aspirants taking the test on Sunday.
Candidates had to mandatorily carry the NEET UG 2025 hall tickets to the exam centre. In addition to the NEET UG admit cards, two passport size photograph same as uploaded on the application form, one post card size (4”X6”) color photograph with white background and a government identity card should be taken to the exam centre.
The NEET UG exam centre details are mentioned on the admit cards released at neet.nta.nic.in. The candidate will have to check and ensure that the NEET UG 2025 test booklet contains as many pages as are written on the top of the cover page.
NEET UG is the sole exam in India to shortlist candidates to undergraduate medical courses. For the last two years, over 20 lakh students are registering for the exam. In 2024, as many as 24,06,079 candidates registered for NEET UG, while in 2023, it was 20,87,462. In 2022, 2021, 2020 and 2019, the number of registered candidates in NEET UG are 18,72,343, 16,14,777, 15,97,435 and 15,19,375 respectively.

NEET UG 2025 Exam Analysis Live: Akshaya centre staff held in forged NEET hall ticket case in Kerala
Kerala police took into custody a staff member from an Akshaya centre after a student attempted to sit the NEET examination using a forged hall ticket in Pathanamthitta.
The case was registered on Sunday following a complaint from an exam coordinator, who noticed discrepancies in a student's admit card.
The student's mother had paid Rs 1,250 to the Akshaya centre to apply for the NEET exam the application was never submitted, as per police sources.
When the mother asked for the hall ticket, the staff member created a fake one and sent it to her via WhatsApp.
The Chemistry section of NEET UG 2025 challenged students with tough application-based questions, demanding thorough understanding beyond textbook theory, according to experts.

Medical entrance exam NEET UG was held amid strict security in 27 places across Odisha, including Bhubaneswar. The examination commenced at 2 pm and concluded at 5 pm. NEET UG 2025 Exam Analysis Live: NEET UG held at 18 centres amid tight security in Gurugram
A total of 18 examination centres were set up in the Gurugram where 6,672 candidates were scheduled to appear for NEET UG 2025.
Police personnel were deployed at all centres, and elaborate security arrangements were made by the administration to ensure a fair and cheating-free examination, District Nodal Officer and Additional Labour Commissioner (NCR) Kushal Kataria said.
According to an official, a total of 210 candidates remained absent in the exam.

NEET UG 2025 Exam Analysis Live: Student appears for NEET with fake admit card; Probe launched in Kerala
Following a complaint from an exam coordinator, who noticed discrepancies on an admit card, the Kerala police on Sunday launched an investigation into an incident.
According to the police, the student currently in custody stated that he had downloaded and printed a fake admit card sent via WhatsApp by the operator of an Akshaya Centre in Thiruvananthapuram district.
Based on the candidate's statement, an FIR has been registered, and a detailed investigation is underway.

NEET UG 2025: NTA has discontinued the optional questions in Section B of NEET UG 2025. Candidates taking the NEET UG in 2025 will not get any optional questions and extra time introduced during Covid and exam will now revert to the pre-covid format. NEET UG 2025 paper will now have 180 compulsory questions — 45 questions each in physics and chemistry and 90 in biology. Candidates will have to attempt the paper in 180 minutes.
