NEET UG city slip is released ahead of the admit card release so that candidates taking the test can make travel plans accordingly. The NEET UG city slip mentions the city of exam and the exam day details.

This time, a total of 23,81,833 students have registered for NEET UG 2024, of which over 10 lakh are male students, over 13 lakh are girls and 24 students have registered under the ‘third gender’ category. Out of the registered 23 lakh students, over 10 lakh students are OBC NCL as per list, 6 lakh are general students, 3.5 lakh are Scheduled Caste (SC) students, 1.8 lakh students are from Gen-EWS category and 1.5 lakh are from the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.

NEET UG 2024 exam date is May 5. The exam will be held offline.

The NEET UG question paper will comprise four subjects - physics, chemistry, zoology and botany. Each subject will consist of two sections. Section A will consist of 35 questions and section B will have 15 questions. Out of the 15 questions, candidates can choose to attempt any 10 questions.

In 2022, NEET UG was held on July 17 and the city slip was released on June 29 while the hall ticket was released on July 12. In 2021, the NEET UG admit card was issued on September 6 and NEET UG was conducted on September 12.

The NEET UG city slip will be made available at neet.ntaonline.in. To access and download the NEET UG city slip, candidates will have to insert their registration numbers.

NEET UG 2024 will be held on May 5. The testing agency will make the city slip and admit card links live before the exam. The NEET UG city slip link will be made live soon, while the NEET UG 2024 admit card will be released three days prior to the date of exam.

As per the revised guidelines, Indian nationals, NRIs, overseas citizen of India (OCI), persons with Indian origin (PIO) and foreign nationals are eligible for admission in medical, dental, ayurveda, siddha, unani and homeopathy colleges.

1. Updated official website: Candidates can now access all pertinent exam information at neet.ntaonline.in, the official website for NEET information. 

2. Revised application fees: A revision has been made to the application fee structure. The general category registration cost has been raised to Rs 1,700.

3. Revision of tie-breaking policy: The rule about tying has been updated. When deciding who gets the highest grade among candidates, the age and NEET UG application number are no longer taken into account.

Starting the NEET UG question paper with biology is statistically wise, as questions in this domain are typically less intricate and require less time than physics and chemistry, said  Nabin Karki, a NEET expert, adding that students should begin with rote memorisation-based and formulaic questions to maintain mental clarity for more challenging ones, 

I also maintained a mistake copy. It helped me track down mistakes I was making in the mock tests. I used to analyse them after every mock test. I did not make notes for all the subjects. I used to note down points in the mistake copy only.

In case two students secure the same marks in NEET UG 2024, the following tie-breaking criteria will be applied:

– Candidates who score higher marks or percentages in Biology (Botany/Zoology).

– Candidates who score higher marks in chemistry.

– Candidates who score higher marks in physics.

– Candidates who have few incorrect answers than correct answers in all the subjects.

– Candidates who have the lowest proportion of incorrect responses to correct responses in Biology (Botany and Zoology).

– Candidates who have the lowest ratio of incorrect answers, in Chemistry, to correct answers.

– Candidates who have a lesser percentage of attempted incorrect answers in Physics.

– Candidate older in age.

– NEET application number in ascending number.

As per the revised guidelines, Indian nationals, NRIs, overseas citizen of India (OCI), persons with Indian origin (PIO) and foreign nationals are eligible for admission in medical, dental, ayurveda, siddha, unani and homeopathy colleges.

The NEET UG cut-off is of two types — the qualifying cut-off and the admission cut-off. The NEET admission cut-off shows the minimum marks below which admission will not be granted to a candidate. The qualifying cut-off is the maximum mark a candidate must obtain.

The examination is scheduled for May 5. Candidates have to reach the exam hall on time with their admit card. Please remember to bring a physical copy of the admit cards. 

As per past trends, the admit card is usually released 6 to 7 days before the exam.
