NEET UG 2023: The exam was conducted on May 7 (Graphics by Angshuman Maity)NEET UG 2023 Updates: The National Testing Agency will release the answer key for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2023 this week. Students who appeared for the exam can check the answer key at the official website— neet.nta.nic.in.
The exam was conducted on May 7. A total of 20,87,449 candidates registered for NEET UG 2023. The exam was conducted in a total of 499 cities in India and abroad.
Once released, candidates will be able to raise objections to the answer key and soon the results and final answer keys will be out. This year, the Physics section was based on NCERT and had many numerical. In the Chemistry section, there was more weightage given to Inorganic and Organic Chemistry compared to Physical Chemistry. Zoology and Botany mainly had questions from NCERT.

Documents required for admission in MBBS from Nepal:

There are many medical colleges in Nepal, some of them being the National Medical College Birgunj, Universal College of Medical Sciences, Nepalgunj Medical College, Janaki Medical College, College of Medical Sciences Bharatpur, and more.

“There is absolutely no truth in all these rumoured reports, such as a girl being asked to remove her bra. We have not received any complaints or reports from any of our centres. Such reports are spread as some people cannot stomach the fact that an exam of this level was conducted smoothly,” a senior official told indianexpress.com.
In case the same marks are scored by two or more candidates in NEET UG 2023, the following tie-breaking criteria will be applied:
– Candidates who score higher marks or percentage in Biology (Botany/Zoology).
– Candidates who score higher marks in chemistry.
– Candidates who score higher marks in physics.
– Candidates who have few incorrect answers than correct answers in all the subjects.
– Candidates who have the lowest proportion of incorrect responses to correct responses in Biology (Botany and Zoology).
– Candidates who have the lowest ratio of incorrect answers, in Chemistry, to correct answers.
– Candidates who have a lesser percentage of attempted incorrect answers in Physics.
– Candidate older in age.
– NEET application number in ascending number.
Due to the violent clashes and law-and-order situation in Manipur, the medical entrance test NEET UG has been deferred. The fresh dates will be announced soon by the exam conducting body NTA, as per news agency PTI. This decision comes after the state Education Minster BJP MP from Manipur, Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh urged for postponement. “I had requested them to postpone the exam, in the current situation. New date of exam will be fixed. 5751 candidates were scheduled to appear at the two centres in Manipur,” Ranjan told ANI.
As per Saurabh Kumar, Chief Academic Officer at Vidyamandir Classes, the general category cut-off this year will be around 710-124, while it will be 130-98 for OBC candidates, 120-95 for Scheduled Caste (SC) and 118-92 for Scheduled Tribe (ST) students.
The NEET UG cut-off is of two types — the qualifying cut-off and the admission cut-off. The NEET admission cut-off shows the minimum marks below which admission will not be granted to a candidate. The qualifying cut-off is the maximum mark a candidate must obtain.
As per the revised guidelines, Indian nationals, NRIs, overseas citizen of India (OCI), persons with Indian origin (PIO) and foreign nationals are eligible for admission in medical, dental, ayurveda, siddha, unani and homeopathy colleges.
