In the notification, the Board stated, “Producing the said scorecard and/or result of NEET-PG of the respective session for any purposes, including but not limited to, employment, enrolment, registration, or admission to PG courses, shall be unlawful.”
The NBEMS emphasised that it bears no responsibility for any admissions, job placements, or registrations that may have been secured using the now-invalidated NEET PG results. Out of the 22 candidates whose NEET PG results were annulled, 13 had appeared in the 2025 session, three in 2024, four in 2023, and one each in 2022 and 2021. This decision was made by the NBEMS Examination Ethics Committee following a comprehensive investigation into reported instances of malpractice across multiple exam cycles.
Notably, Srusti Bommanahalli Rajanna was disqualified pursuant to the Karnataka High Court’s ruling on Writ Petition No. 5785/2025, while the remaining 21 candidates were found guilty of using unfair means by the ethics panel.
The NEET PG 2025 examination witnessed participation from more than 2.42 lakh candidates, with 1,28,116 qualifying for admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma programs. Despite the results being declared, the counselling schedule is still pending. The delay stems from ongoing legal proceedings, including a petition demanding the release of complete question papers and answer keys, raising concerns about the transparency of the examination process.
This update came after multiple students posted on social media platforms like X, Telegram, and Reddit, questioning how private entities obtained their data to solicit admissions beyond the regular admission process by the centralised counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).
