The University of Mumbai, Board of Examinations & Evaluations has announced that various exams scheduled in March and April 2025 have been postponed due to the upcoming Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET). Candidates who were earlier scheduled to appear on the affected exam dates, originally set between March 24 and April 3, 2025, will now appear for the exams on fresh dates as announced by the board. However, candidates must note that the time and venue for all exams remain unchanged.
The official notice reads, “A reference is invited to Programme Exam Codes 2000146, 2000256, 2000346, 2000456, 2000826, 2000926, 2001026, 2001116, 2M00156, 2001006, 2000466, 2000136, 2000246, 2000336, and 2000446, which are related to the Commerce & Management examinations originally scheduled for 18 March 2025. These exams are being rescheduled as part of the Summer 2025 examination changes.”

The registration process for the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (CET) began on December 30, 2024, and concluded on February 15, 2025. Admit cards are expected to be released approximately a week before the examination.
As per the official schedule, the MHT CET 2025 exam dates for different streams have been confirmed. The Engineering (PCM group) exams will take place from April 19 to 27, 2025, while the Pharmacy (PCB group) exams are scheduled from April 9 to 17, 2025.
The MHT CET 2025 will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) in an online mode. The total duration of the examination will be three hours.
The medium of the exam varies based on the subject. Mathematics will be conducted exclusively in English, while Physics and Chemistry will be available in English, Urdu, and Marathi.
The exam will consist of two sections. Section 1 will cover Physics and Chemistry, while Section 2 will include Mathematics or Biology, depending on the candidate’s chosen stream.
A total of 150 questions will be asked, with 50 questions per subject. The marking scheme differs by subject. Candidates will receive one mark per correct answer in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, whereas Mathematics will carry two marks per correct answer. Notably, there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
