Maharashtra FYJC Admission 2025: The Maharashtra School Education Department will on June 30 release the first seat allotment for the First Year Junior College (FYJC) CAP round one. Students who have registered can check their seat allotment on the official website, mahafyjcadmissions.in. Earlier, the first seat allotment list was set to be released on June 26. This is the fourth time the FYJC admission schedule has been revised. The date to declare the first merit list was first pushed from June 8 to June 10 and then to June 26.

This year, for the first time, the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) is being implemented across Maharashtra. This means students from any region can now apply to junior colleges throughout the state using a single, unified online platform.

Director of Education (Secondary) Mahesh Palkar, said, “The data which is huge in numbers is yet under process leading to the delay in declaration of merit list. Now the first merit list will be declared on June 30. And a revised admission schedule for CAP will be released soon.”

Maharashtra FYJC 2025: How to check seat allotment

Step 1: Visit the official website – mahafyjcadmissions.in

Step 2: On the homepage, select your region where you have applied

Step 3: Click on the “Round one seat allotment list (2025-26)” link.

Step 4: View the seat allotment by checking the roll number and name.

Step 5: Download and print it for future use.

If a student is allocated their first preference, they must visit the designated junior college and complete the admission process within the specified deadline to secure their admission. However, if they are not satisfied with their allocation, they can wait for the next round without confirming admission in the current round. If no seat is allocated, candidates should wait for the next round of seat allotment, as per the scheduled timeline.

The admission process accommodates approximately 20 lakh seats across the state, with 8.52 lakh seats allocated to the Science stream, 5.40 lakh seats to Commerce, and 6.50 lakh seats to Arts. To improve accessibility, the official portal was briefly taken offline to enable mobile compatibility, ensuring a smoother application process for students.

Additionally, the government introduced a dedicated helpline number and email ID to assist with CAP-related queries, providing further support to applicants.

Inhouse quota in junior colleges will only be available to students of schools run by the same management that are located on the “same premises”, states the new guidelines for class 11 or First Year Junior College (FYJC) admissions by the State Directorate of Education.

The admissions process covers 8 divisions, including Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, Kolhapur, Amravati, Latur, and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. Note that the Konkan division is excluded from the Centralised Admission Process (CAP).
